Flagship Program Curriculum
In addition to the regular coursework required for their majors, ALIF scholars will follow the curriculum outlined below:
- Complete specially designed general education content courses taught in Arabic.
- Complete Arabic languages courses designed to support student success in the Arabic general education courses as well as to develop increased competency in Arabic
- Participate in a Study Abroad experience for at least one semester at a university in the Middle East.
- Complete a specialized project relating to the student's academic interests with the assistance and support of the ALIF academic director; present the project, in Arabic, to other students and ALIF scholars.
- Receive a final language proficiency assessment that can be shared with potential employers or graduate schools.
